A movie that polarizes, I'd say. For some it's a senseless movie with Elvis impersonators using rude language and a lot of firepower to rob a bank while for others it's a great movie. Although I'm usually not a fan of violence I have to admit that I like it. People who complain about the lack of storyline are right - it's pretty weak there but that's ok since it's based upon the personalities of the actors and that's why a simple storyline works perfectly. While "Ocean's Eleven" needs a complicated storyline to go about robbing a casino these guys don't need one as their credo is simple: Get enough firepower and the job gets done - while, at the same time, the resulting firefights are so horribly overdone as to be ironic. Anyway ... as is the case with movies like this - you either like them or you despise them. Oh ... before I forget ... one of my favorite actresses, Courteney Cox, has a brief DiD scene. After she's been abducted she's discovered by an excellently playing Kurt Russell in the trunk of a car - gagged and with her hands bound in front of her. No, I won't get started again on the "hands bound in front and gagged - why doesn't she simply pull it out?????" routine. :)
