Three's a coven, right? So we need three witches to get the right mix. To clean up with old prejudices like warts, turning people into frogs and whatnot wouldn't it be nice to have good witches ... witches that fight evil instead of being evil? This is, after all, an American series - so let's be nice and clean .... and only occasionally be naughty.

 There's a new season on TV here in Germany and it looks like Shannen Doherty is no longer part of the series which is a shame in my opinion because I always liked her best, especially so her sometimes pretty sexy clothes. If I'm not mistaken they substituted Rose McGowan for her ..... we'll have to see - so far I'm not impressed.

The plot is usually pretty thin, the special effects are mediocre and the main theme becomes pretty monotonous so I'm not a regular with this show. Maybe I missed the subtle plot developments but I think every series benefits if the episodes are set into a greater plot. That's why I like Babylon 5, Deep Space 9 and X-Files. That's why I don't like Star Trek, Voyager, Stargate ....... standalone episodes without an encapsulating storyline. Not that individual episodes can't be great - I just miss this little extra kick from having yet another puzzle piece revealed.

The series - as with most American series - has badly aligned half images so getting decent quality caps - especially from scenes with much motion - is almost impossible. Still - the occasional DiD scene and the lovely witches make this series worth watching.
