Ah yes, those were the days. Something fell off the cupboard, someone got sick ... surely a witch must be behind all this. And with due alacrity the witch is then sought amongst the womenfolk and if questioned with enough, let's say force, the guilty will be found out, quite often more than one. A similar storyline emerges here and what makes it really sad is that this one is actually based on a real story and - even worse - it plays in Switzerland in 1782, a time where the whole witch  business should have been finished. Cornelia Kempers plays the role of Anna Göldin, a servant. She's pretty suspicious to her employers because she's charismatic and has a pretty strong character and behaves less servile than expected. Add a couple of the aforementioned strange things and you've just got to admit that she must be a witch, right?
